Colour

Our colour palette injects a grounded and serious tone to our visual language, through the overall use of darker, more muted tones. In small instances, the use of bright highlights serves as a reminder of the pressure and urgency behind these operations.
In this section we will showcase this and detail how to use it in different contexts.

Hierarchy

Our colours can be broken down into two palettes: a Dark and Light Mode. In Dark Mode, Navy is used on all backgrounds. In Light Mode, Off-White becomes the primary colour for all backgrounds.

Our Greys are used for the grids, textures and graphic devices (see Background and Graphic Devices sections), while Red and Yellow are used as highlights, Red being the only highlight colour in Light Mode.

Usage

Art direction

Duotone treatments can be used with our art direction, using Tactics Silver as a base and pairing it with either Tactics Blue, Tactics Grey or R6 Navy. Adhering to these specific colours ensures consistency across our brand.
Refer to Art Direction for guidance on creating duotone treatments.

Backgrounds & highlights

In Dark Mode, the background colour isalways R6 Navy. Both the Tactics Red and Yellow highlight are used; Red primarily for all the annotations and frames, Yellow for secondary elements such as icons and small typographic details.

In Light Mode, the background is Tactics Off-white. Only Tactics Red is used as a highlight colour in Light Mode, for alk the annotations, icons, frames, and small typographic details due to legibility.
